PUBLISHING SERVICES UPDATE
This coming week we will be doing further testing on the concept of Sunday
Newspaper inserts to promote PLAIN TRUTH subscriptions. This time we will
concentrate our efforts in the Lexington, Kentucky area with two different
types of brochures. Lexington has been selected because it is always one
of our best areas of public response. This response can then be compared
with moderate or bad areas of response in other states. These tests are
being run so that we can get all the facts and figures for a final pre
sentation to Mr. Armstrong on this method of subscription promotion.
We have some more good news from QUEST magazine. We now have the magazine
on the following airlines: Pan Arn, TWA, United, National, Eastern, Braniff
and Western. This is good news because it gives us much better coverage
and exposure with this influeoti a J segroeot of the trayeJ Ji

in turn, gives the Ambassador Foundation, and hence the Church and Mr.
Herbert W. Armstrong, a great deal of additional exposure and credibility
which since the January receivership has proved very valuable. We have
been able to assess this by the many favorable press comments relating
specifically to Quest and the Foundation since then.

GOOD NEWS/WORLDWIDE NEWS UPDATE
ThP October-November Good News is now being mailed out, and we are well
alvng in production of the December magazine. Mr. Herbert Armstrong
called to tell us that he was especially pleased with the October-November
edition and that he is preparing an important article for both The Good
News' and The Plain Truth's December issues.
By the way, you festival coordinators should make sure your feast reports
reach us no later than Nov. 5 if you wish them to be included in the Nov.
12 Worldwide News. The sooner the reports and photos reach us, the better
a festival wrap-up issue we can produce. Since the majority of the reports
had not reached us in time for the Oct. 29 WN deadline, we had to make the
decision to push the reports up to the next-rssue.
The Oct. 29 Worldwide News will feature details of Mr. Armstrong's sermon
by microwave to the u.s:--¥east sites and some in Canada on the Last Great
Day.
It will also include updated information on the Church's legal
crisis with the state of California.
