PASTOR GENERAL'S REPORT, August 1, 1980
Page 16
There is complete freedom of religion in Chile, 2ven though the majority
of the people are Roman Catholic by heritage. President Pinochet, how
ever, frequently attends services at a huge Pentecostal church in Santiago.
I believe God wants His truth to go out in greater force in this strangely
shaped yet beautiful and geographically diverse country. Keith and I met
with brethren--about 44 of them--in Santiago on the Sabbath and encouraged
them to be prepared for a surge in Church growth that we feel will come.
Conditions are now more ripe than ever before for this to occur.
Next time, Argentina.
