The month of February showed an increase of 10.4% over February, 1982. This
was not as good as the 12.7% increase for January, so the year-to-date
increase through February, 1983 dropped one percent to 11.7%.
This is quite a bit better than the projected budget increase of seven per
cent, but not as much as
everyone
would like. March has started out better
than February did, and with an apparent upturn in the U.S. economy, we are
hoping for increasing figures for the next few months.
Our expenses are considerably more than income so far. Projections indi
cate thnt it will be September before income will exceed expenses, but the
year should end with a small amount added to reserves.

The use of Church Codes
In order to facilitate the processing of various forms, we need
all the U.S. ministers to include the church code number along
with the church area name on certain forms wher"'et'Fie church name
is requested. This will greatly assist those who have to enter
the information on these forms into the computer. The specific
forms where the church code is needed are: Hall Rental Vouchers,
Church Assistance Disbursement Vouchers, Baptism, Disfellowship,
Non-Member and Reinstatement Notices along with PM Addition and
Deletion forms. For most men, it may be simpler to just include
the church code wherever the church name is called for.

S REPORT, we requested the
church code to be included along with the church name on all Hall
Rental vouchers. So far, only about half the forms coming in
have the church code'"num5ers on them. We rea!ize that until tne
formsare rev1seO:-it will requ� your having to remember to
include the church code along with the church name. Hopefully
including the church code number will become automatic and not
require much additional work.
If you do not know the church code for your church, you can find
it on member listings or you can call Ministerial Services and we
will be glad to provide it for you.
Your following through on this instruction will be greatly
appreciated and will assist us in providing Mr. Armstrong with
up-to-date information.
