been receiving completed certified audits from various of our regional of
fices around the world. So far, we have received most of the audits from
our larger offices. The U.S. audits, as well as the combined audits, should
be completed by the end of the month.
Since we are presently involved with the annual audit, I thought it might be
of interest to you and the brethren to learn a little bit more about these
audits. I received an interesting report from Mr. Fred Stevens, Accounting
Department manager, about our relations with outside auditors here and
abroad. It illustrates some of the means these auditors use to determine if
our financial reports are accurate. Mr. Stevens' comments will appear in
the April 9 WORLDWIDE NEWS as part of my article for that issue. Also
included will be some interesting remarks from one of our Church
accountants regarding his contact with one of our outside auditors. I hope
these comments will be as encouraging to you as they were to me, as we enter
the spring holy day season.
