6. At about 12:15 p.m. on January 4, I attempted to
2 telephone Mr. Cole but was unsuccessful in reaching him. I then
3 called Ellis LaRavia, a long-time trusted and loyal minister of
4 the Church, to have Mr. Cole call me. I am also informed that Mr.
5 Cole purported to suspend Mr. LaRavia.

7. Although I want the Church to cooperate fully with
8 the Attorney General's Office in examining any records they legi-
9 timately have a right to examine, I will not submit to government's
10 administering the Government of God's Church and Work. Therefore,
11 as the appointed Apostle of Jesus Christ, I commanded Messrs.
12 R�ymond McNair, Roderick Meredith, Ellis LaRavia, Ralph Helge,
13 and Stanley R. Rader, in Christ's name, to do everything possible
14 to protect the Church's operations under me; I confirmed this in
15 writing of January 4, 1979, copy of which is attached hereto as
16 Exhibit B, and incorporated herein by reference. I also hereby
17 appoint Mr. Meredith as Director of Pastoral Administration and
18 relieve Mr. Cole of that office. I further confirm that Allan
19 Browne, Esq. of Ervin, Cohen & Jessup is the attorney authorized
20 to represent the Church in these proceedings.
