Dear Ministers,
Our annual Regional Directors .Conference.beganFriday, November
21,
here in Pasadena. I opened the conference with an address to the
assembled regional directors, wives and support personnel on the subject
of international unity and the need for all to be speaking the same
thing worldwide. I referred to my recent visit
to
the churches in
Mexico and explained how much it meant to our Mexican brethren to be
reminded of the valuable and important role they play in the end-time
Work of
God's
Church. Each of
God's
people around the world, no matter
how far from headquarters, is an integral part of the family and govern-
ment He is developing for the future. Yet each must be
in
harmony with
God.
Any who are not in harmony with God are not really a part of the

We must come to deeply understand, however, that the Body cannot be'
unified if the leadership is divided. Unity
must
be solid from the top
down. The Father and the Son are in absolute, perfect unity. But how
about
us?
We humans will only be unified to the extent that we allow
ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit. We are told to let Jesus Christ
live His life in us. If
we
do that, we will be in harmony with Him and
our
Father. And we will be in harmony with His Church.
If a leader is filled with strife
or
vainglory, operations bog
down. Confusion is created.
A
sports team is a good example. If one
team member becomes
a
glory hog, the morale and effectiveness of the
whole team
is
harmed.
