who served from 1861 to the date of his
assassination, April 14, 1865—
We should
REMEMBER
WHY
these famous leaders SET ASIDE A DAY TO GIVE
THANKS TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD, “THANKSGIVING DAY”.
Living in America
Those of us who have had the blessing of living in this country have everything to be
THANKFUL to our WONDERFUL AND CARING ALMIGHTY GOD. Psalm 103.
Though end-time prophecy reveals there is little time before the fall of America and the other
nations of Israel, Thanksgiving Day should continue to be a reminder to each of us of the roots of
America/Manasseh in Bible history.
And at the same time we should express our heartfelt thanks to God our Father and Jesus Christ
for having been blessed to live here and share in its bountiful blessings—remembering it is from
Them that all good blessings are given (
James 1:17
).
We should not only express our sincere thanks with praise to Them each Thanksgiving Day, but
spend quality time on our knees each day and night at all times, thanking and praising our
wonderful Father through Jesus Christ, for Their wonderful blessings in our lives.
God’s End-Time Work
In addition this little flock has been given the blessing and responsibility of supporting God’s
Work that is yet to go to this nation and world before the night comes when no one can work; a
last ditch warning from Jesus Christ!
In the interim all of us as God’s Elect must continue ever onward in seeking the fulfillment of
our eternal destiny from God our Father and Jesus Christ, knowing we have no continuing city
here, but seek the one to come (
Hebrews 13:14
).
