The booklet, the United States and Great Britain in Prophecy, was one
of the two most requested booklets during the ministry of Mr.
Armstrong. It came to be believed by many thousands before his death,
but most have since forgotten our identity, as has all the nations of
Israel.
Israel Forgets His Maker
Hosea 8:14 “Israel has forgotten his Maker”
Isaiah 1:2, 3, 5 “Hear, O heavens, and give hear, O earth: for the LORD has spoken, I have
nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me . . . The ox knows
his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but Israel does not know, My people do not
consider . . . Ah sinful nation . . . they have forsaken the LORD . . .”
Through our history as a nation we have FORSAKEN the SOURCE of our blessings as being
from our gracious and caring God in heaven above. However from time to time, here and there,
during our approximate 200-year history, God would enable a man to be in the office of
President who would remind us of what our ancestors had forgotten.
President Abraham Lincoln
President Abraham Lincoln was one such man. He came into office
and served during a MOST CRITICAL point in this nation’s history.
