There are many other great inventors who used their God-given minds to create many
other things that are in use today: such as the Wright Brothers – the airplane; Benjamin
Franklin, discovered electricity, the Franklin Stove; Charles Babbage, the mechanical
computer; James Watt, the Steam Engine; Alexander Bell, the telephone.
There are many other inventors too numerous to mention. But the above should be
sufficient to show how the mind can be used to improve not only it, but also to
contribute to society the better things that should be uplifting while showing always the
blessing of giving to make people lives happier and fulfilling.
This knowledge should motivate each one to reverently bow his and her head on bended
knees before God and express heartfelt gratitude for this awesome and wonderful
blessing of the human mind.
Further, God is always there to answer the prayers of those asking for the help He so
willingly desires to give to aid each one for the mastery of the
mind and heart (
Hebrews 2:14-18; 4:14-16
).
To Cain, prior to murdering his brother, the LORD God said
to him:
“If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you
do not do well, SIN is
lurking
at the door; its desire
is for you, BUT you MUST MASTER it” (Genesis 4:7,
New Revised Standard
Version Bible
).
The Apostle Paul further wrote of SIN as a law with always a downward pull like the law
of gravity on our minds trying to rule the mind for evil purposes:
“But I see another law in my members (
human nature
), warring against the
law of my mind, and [
trying to
] bringing me into captivity to the LAW OF SIN
which is in my members” (Romans 7:23).
