v.10
“You shall
not plow with
an ox and a donkey
together.
The Apostle Paul made known this also carries over into marriage
(II Corinthians 6:14-18
(cf. Experimental Commentary).
v.11 “You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, such as wool and linen mixed
together.”
Mixing Creates Confusion
While focusing on these Scriptures in a Bible study years ago, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong said, “All
mixing creates confusion!”
By viewing the results of disobeying these laws it can be well realized God’s laws found in these
Holy Scriptures are in place to eliminate the confusion of the blurring of the sexes, as well as preserve
the purity of the human race; this includes all animals over which man has domesticated for use in his
daily life.
If one will stop and really think about these laws, it should
become easy for the unbiased person to see they make a lot of
sense. God created diversity in this world because He loves and
enjoys seeing the differences.
Consider the example of
the awesome beauty and
glory of the many varie-
ties of flowers – each
one with its own unique
design, with varying
colors of awesome beauty, and exquisite fragrances emanating
from each one.
It should be appreciated God created humankind with the won-
derful blessing of eyes that can view these very beautiful flowers
as well as all of His creation in full color. Think! He could have created us to see only black and white,
but He didn’t! Do we thank and praise God for His caring love? If not, we certainly should!
