The stout of heart are spoiled in fight, A deadly sleep the war - rior slept;

From heav-enGodHisjudgment gave, The trembling earthstoodstilland feared;

His tent in Sa-lem He
hath reared; His roy-al seat in Zi - on hath made.
No hand of all the men
of might; Its wonted strength or cun - ning kept.
When all the meek on earth to save; For righteous judgment God ap-peared.
ThereHebrokear-rows of
the bow, Theshield, theswordandwar's ar-ray;
0 Ja-cob's God, at Thy command, The char - iot and thehorsewent down;
Let all a-round theirpre-sentsbring, To Him whom all the world should fear;
More ex-cel-lent, 0 Lord,
For Thou art fearful, who
He cuts offprinces, God
art Thou, More glorious far than hills
can stand,
In
the tempest of
the King, Shall fearful
to
earth's kings
of prey.
