_ NEWSSTAND UPDAT The U.S. Newsstand Program is slated to dis
tribute 495,000 copies of the January edition, and we plan to have
a monthly turnover of nearly 800,000 by the end of this fiscal year.
A recent Bulletin article announced that we had acquired approval
to distribute the P.T. through 17 major airports across the United
States. Unfortunately we have had to temporarily delay the opening
of these airport outlets due to an overwhelming demand for additional
magazines for rapidly expanding church distribution. However,
we
have been very encouraged by the overall response. So far, over
64,000 new subscribers have been added to the P.T. list as a result
of newsstand efforts.
In addition, recent findings have proven the
current cost per response to be only about $4.30.

CONFERENCE PLANS PROGRESSING Pastoral Administration is immersed
in the myriad details of planning for the upcoming ministerial con
ference. The agenda has just been amended to include more plenary
sessions. We have arranged for a special lecture by famous T.V.
personality and lecturer, Art Linkletter, who will talk on the sub
jects of drug abuse and children.
It is hoped that we can arrange
a special concert during the conference for your enjoyment. Tickets
for the Rose Parade should be requested right away because this year
there will be a limited number of tickets available--they will be
given out on a first-come-first-serve basis, Direct your requests
to Ministerial Services.
By the way, with regard to your receiving a free copy of Mr. Ted
Armstrong's book, The Real Jesus, please tell all of the ordained
men in your area that every :me ""Tn the ministry must request his own
copy of the book. No complimentary copies will be sent automatically
without a request.

FESTIVAL BROCHURE UPDATE Good news for the festival next Fall! The
brochure has matured, come of age and is receivin widespread accep
tance throughout the business cormnuni ty. The 19 77 edition which
used more color, photos and feature articles plus local advertising,
has begun to attract the attention of national advertisers. Compa
nies included in the 1978 brochure would represent large national
advertisers such as franchise food service operators, national car
rentals and national transportation organizations.
If festival
office efforts with these national organizations are successful,
there should be direct benefits to each church family. It is pos
sible that members may be able to enjoy special discounts when uti-
lizing these facilities before, during and after the feast. For
