Promotion of Local Bible Lectures

If your area has "The World Tomorrow" broadcast airing on a local radio
station, you have an avenue readily available for the promotion of local
public Bible lectures at no additional cost.
Simply call or write Media Services a minimum of four weeks prior to the
confirmed date(s) of the lecture(s) and we will arrange for a 20-second
announcement to be made (either prerecorded or by the local announcer)
informing the listening audience of the upcoming lecture.
The following information will be needed by us:
1. Times and dates of lecture(s).
2. Address of the place lecture is to be held.
3. Speaker for the lecture.
4. Subject matter or titles of lectures.

ATTORNEY GENERAL'S MOTION FOR CONTEMPT FRUSTRATED

The Church won an important victory in court April 2. In the seemingly
endless series of pretrial maneuvers, the Attorney General went to L.A.
Superior Court in a vain effort to have Mr. Armstrong, Mr. Rader and
others held in contempt of court, or have other sanctions imposed. This
was because of their refusal to divulge Constitutionally protected Church
information unless the U.S. Supreme Court should someday say they must.
Judge Robert I. Weil (pronounced "while") said that as long as they were
exercising their right to seek the review of the higher courts, he saw no
wilful disobedience to any court order that would support any charge of
contempt. Widely-recognized Constitutional lawyer Lawrence Tribe of
Harvard Law School was present in behalf of the Church and no doubt his
presence was instrumental in bringing about a favorable outcome.
Legal details such as these must be grappled with almost on a daily basis,
but most are behind the scenes and seldom noted or publicized by the media
unless they smell "blood." It is natural, therefore, for these court
