Distinction, Diversity, and Purity
As made known in the previous Pastor’s Comments on this subject, this current one should likewise
prove to be helpful by giving further understanding of God’s teachings regarding the distinction,
diversity, and purity in God’s creation.
These two chapters also speak of beauty and harmony. And this
writing will be with the effort to present an overview of these wonderful blessings God wants His people
to understand and appreciate the value of them.
The Physical Reaches into The Spiritual
Though these two chapters are dealing with the physical, they have
far-reaching implications that reach into the spiritual realm. And
putting them all together with related Scriptures can lead to a reward-
ing and harmonious understanding for those seeking an understand-
ing of God’s laws with the desire to obey them.
Many times, Mr. Herbert W.
Armstrong gave sermons about
what took place at creation and in
the Garden in Eden.
The more he studied into what
took place at that time, the more
he came to see and understand how the problems of that time has
reached into the problems we see about us today.
Curses Result from the Rejection of God and His Laws
What is found here in these two chapters, and elsewhere in Scripture, reveals the answers to many of
life’s problems today. God’s people should learn from the teachings of Holy Scripture, and from our
own human experience, as well as seeing the problems of the upside down world about us, that only
God's way, His teachings and laws, work for the good of everyone!
Intensive prayer, study, and meditation is needed to uncover with understanding the spiritual mean-
ing contained therein. Solomon expressed this quite well when he wrote the search for wisdom and
understanding is much like one searching for precious treasures
(cf. Proverbs 2:1-9; Matthew 13:44).
The Physical and Spiritual Applications of God’s Laws
As we focus our study here on these two chapters that have to do with physical laws, we should also
consider the spiritual implications of related Scriptures.
In addition, there should be the remembrance of the principle of duality found in Scripture as well
as knowing the physical is a type of the Spiritual. The apostle Paul made this known in his writing to
theChurch:
